OAK HILL CHURCH
As the Pastor at Oak Hill Primitive Baptist Church since 1994, I have shared with my wife Charlotte the great joy of serving and growing among a group of Christians who absolutely delight in the grace of God and have an invigorating love of people. As a family, we have three married children and twelve grandchildren. We are busy and blessed! While born in Nebraska, I grew up in South Texas and first pastored near Harlingen, Texas, in my early twenties. Through the 1980’s and early 1990’s, before coming back to Texas and the Oak Hill and Dripping Springs area, I pastored churches in North Carolina and Georgia. I have been in the church since childhood, and my spiritual journey continues today. God is love and through His grace in Christ He shows us every day it is not what we do for Him, but what He has done for us in Jesus that counts. It is a rich life to see God relieve people’s burdens through the good news that what they are frantically searching for they already possess in Christ. We have members from as far away as Ft. Hood and San Antonio. Everyone is welcome at Oak Hill Church and I sincerely invite all of our friends and neighbors in the South Austin and Dripping Springs areas to come join us in worship of One who is infinitely more fulfilling than the thousand smaller things we seek each day to validate us. We would be humbled to serve you.
We are a community of strugglers who — with all their baggage, complications, and twists — are attempting to help and encourage each other as believers. Our hope and peace in this world of uncertainty is in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Knowing that a gracious God is lovingly involved in all issues of our lives brings stability and joy in the midst of perplexities.
